The Amadeus Duo
Dale Kavanagh (Canada) and Thomas Kirchhoff
Critics and audiences acknowledge the young musicians bubbling temperament in virtuoso recital, and their highly sensitive creative ability in musical phrasing and articulation. In addition to their chamber music programmes, they frequently perform concerti for two guitars and orchestra, and have had several works dedicated to them by composers such as Roland Dyens and Jaime Zenamon.
In the 2001/02 season they have been invited to perform in China, USA, Canada, England, Austria, Turkey, Poland, Rumania and Liechtenstein.
Together with the Eden Stell Guitar Duo, they have been performing a "Spanish Night" concert featuring works for one, two and four guitars and orchestra in honour of Joaquin Rodrigo in more than seventy cities since February 2000.
