The club operates a mailing list. The purpose of the list is to keep you up to date with club news and events. Using email and the Internet helps us to keep costs down and saves paper and the environment.
The list is open to everybody, not just club members and uses the Yahoo! groups service as its basis. The list is moderated, which means that subscription to the list and messages posted to it have to be vetted by one of the club's committee members before being sent to list subscribers. This ensures that your email addresses are kept private and that no inappropriate content is sent. The list is quite low volume, with messages being sent once or twice a month.
Contrary to popular belief, you do not need a Yahoo! ID to sign up. You can subscribe or unsubscribe at any time simply by sending an email to
